Todd Swayze - the resident scooter expertWe had the opportunity to interview Mr. Todd Swayze “The Resident Scooter Expert”.   Mr. Swayze bought his first scooter from AllSeasonMotorSports.  He is our most loyal customer here, and he’s been on all the scooter ride events we’ve had.  We thought we’d get his input and any good tips he might have for someone who is considering buying a scooter.

Here is the interview with Todd:

Q. How long have you had your scooter?

-3 years…..after a month riding my scooter, I had to go to the doctor to get the smile off my face!

Q. What made you think about getting a scooter?

-I tried one at Nascar Race at North Carolina, and within a week when I got back to Calgary, I bought one

Q. How was your first experience on your scooter?

-I got it delivered at my house, and tried it on my street; went for a short ride to get used to it

Q. Have you ever ridden a motorcycle? If so, how would you compare the two?

-Scooters have foot place which makes the ride easier and more comfortable; the scooters are easier to handle compared to a motorcycle; the rest is just like riding a motorcycle, but safer and easier

Q. Did your ride exceed your expectations?

-Definitely! They are fun rides!  “you ride them to have fun!”

Q. How would you rate your experience at “Seasonal Motor Sport”?

-It’s a 10! Best place without a doubt!

Q. What would you consider as a few advantages of riding a scooter?

-You can fill it up with your pocket change; you can park it anywhere…for example around stampede time where they are hardly any parking space in downtown, you can park it between 2 cars!

Q. Do you get compliments riding a scooter?

-Some people used to laugh (a couple of years ago) until they realized how fun, but economical they are, and now they stop and ask me about it, and they show interest in buying one

Q. Would you consider it a safe ride for teenagers?

-absolutely.  If they are responsible; I let my teenage son ride my scooter whenever I’m not riding it. Parents like it because they are not like motorcycles; you can’t go 160 km/h and race cars with them!

Q. In your opinion, how would it be beneficial for teenagers?

-It’s perfect for high school students; they can store their books under the seat, or you can also buy an extra pod for it; it’s safe, cheap and a good transportation to school; beats the walk; it costs less to fill it up than bus ticket to and back from school!  You can ride it all year round, and it’s a fantastic learning experience if you are planning to buy a motorcycle in the future
